David and I welcomed this beautiful singing canary into our lives this past Tuesday…. he landed on David’s balcony while David was on the phone with another recording musician, then flew into the apartment and has been happily there ever since.

Later that day, David posted “Found Bird” notes in the elevators… sure enough, his owner contacted us, and said he had been outside overnight. From her apartment, he flew over the building and onto David’s balcony.

When David asked if we could keep him, she replied that he was her best singing canary, but that she was thinking of giving one or two away anyways…. so why don’t we come up, get the cage and some seed from her that night….

Viola, we are now the proud owners of a singing canary!

His name is Luciano (Pavarotti) because he’s such a great singer.
